Round 9 Guidelines

According to the Resolution nº 2 of CNPE (Conselho Nacional de Política Energética), published on the 18th of July, ANP announces the opening of Brasil Round 9, in which 271 blocks, distributed among nine basins, totalling almost 73,000 km², will be offered for exploratory purposes. The following basins are included: Campos, Espírito Santo, Pará-Maranhão, Parnaíba, Pernambuco-Paraíba, Potiguar, Santos, Recôncavo and Rio do Peixe.

A public hearing process, followed by technical and juridical seminars, as well as academic workshops, will follow to improve the public´s awareness and to receive every possible contribution.

Interested companies will find preliminary general information within the Habilitation Guide. Special attention should be given to the Enviromental Guidelines.

The submittal of offers in the Ninth Round of Bids is made only through the Offer Generation Program – GEOF, developed by ANP and available online at this site. A step-by-step help document was prepared to assist the offer fulfillment.


ANP, the Federal Environmental Agency and the Environmental State Agencies work in partnership to supply subsidies to the process of environmental licensing of the awarded blocks. View details.
