Round 10 will offer acreage within 8 sectors, amounting to around 70 thousand square kilometers in new frontiers and mature basins sectors. The offered areas are contained in seven sedimentary basins as follow: Amazonas, Parecis, Potiguar, Recôncavo, Sergipe-Alagoas, São Francisco and Paraná. All the acreage will be onshore and for bidding purposes divided into 130 exploratory blocks, as follows:
From the original 162 exploratory blocks that would represent the acreage put on offer, 32 blocks pertaining to Araripe, Pernambuco-Paraíba and Paraná basins were withdrawn due to technical and environmental reasons.
