Qualification Guidelines
In order to participate in Brasil
Round 10, the company must be individually qualified
by submitting a set of documents (expression of interest,
technical, legal and financial qualification) and paying
a participation fee. After meeting the qualification requirements
the qualified company must present a bid bond for each corresponding
block the company plans to bid, in case it is the warrantor company.
This guideline has the unique purpose of orientation in
qualification process of the companies, which aim to participate
in Brasil Round 10. All details of the qualification process
are described in the Final Tender Protocol.
Foreign companies are allowed to participate in Brasil Round
10. In the event of success, the winner company must provide
performance guarantees to a Brazilian affiliate that will
sign the Concession Agreement.
The first step for Brasil
Round 10 qualification is the presentation of an Expression
of Interest, composed by the Cover Letter, the Power of
Attorney (Annex III), the By-Laws, the Confidentiality Agreement
(Annex IV) and the Participation Fees (Annex II).
A Data Package will be provided
to companies that present the Expression of Interest and
pay the Participation Fees.
All documents must be notarized; certified by
the Brazilian Consulate (when notarized abroad) and translated
by a sworn translator to Portuguese (when written in a foreign
language), as shown in the Complete List of Documents Required
for Brasil Round 10.
